Frequently Asked Questions
How does pricing work?
Each service has a base hourly or flat rate, depending on the type of work. However, before any work begins, we conduct a paid consultation called a Discovery Session to review your needs and determine scope. This session includes a breakdown of recommended services, estimated time requirements, and cost. If for any reason we determine that the project cannot move forward, you won’t be charged beyond the Discovery Session. If you choose to move forward with the work, the Discovery Session fee will be credited toward your final invoice. This means your upfront investment goes directly toward the total project cost.
What is a Discovery Session?
A Discovery Session is a required first step where we assess your tech setup, goals, and challenges before officially starting a project. You'll receive a clear breakdown of recommended solutions, estimated time, and pricing. It’s a first step to ensure transparency and alignment before any work begins. Payment for the Discovery Session is required before the session begins and is non-refundable. If you wish to proceed with whatever work or projects need done, the Discovery Session fee will be credited towards your final invoice. See the Discovery Session page for more information.
Do I need anything for my Discovery Session?
No formal preparation is required. The discovery session is designed to understand your needs and expectations. If available, it can be helpful to have basic details such as your current IT setup, the tools or software you use, or—for network issues—the type of router or internet provider. If you don’t have this information, that’s perfectly fine. We’ll cover everything during the session. For more details on what to expect, please visit the Discovery Session page.
How long is my Discovery Session quote valid?
Your Discovery Session quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is emailed to you. This allows you time to review the scope, timeline, and pricing before committing. If no action is taken within that window, a new Discovery Session may be required to ensure the quote remains accurate and reflects any updates to your technology or needs. Quotes are based on current rates and system conditions, so prompt scheduling ensures the most reliable pricing and recommendations.
Why do prices change based on service?
Each service involves different levels of expertise, tools, and time. For example, general IT support may be straightforward, while cybersecurity or AI consulting requires deeper analysis and specialized solutions. Pricing reflects the complexity, resources, and value of each service to ensure fair and accurate billing.
How do time estimates and billing work?
Time estimates are based on the scope discussed in your Discovery Session and are broken down by task. Billing is hourly (or flat rate, depending on the service), and you're only charged for the time spent on active, approved work. Any significant changes to scope or timeline are discussed with you beforehand.
Do you offer emergency or after-hours services?
Yes, after-hours or emergency work is available and billed at 2x the standard rate. Payment is required up front. Availability is limited, so please reach out to confirm scheduling.
Can you work with businesses outside of New Hampshire?
At this time, we are only accepting clients in New Hampshire, Oklahoma, and Colorado.
What if I only need one-time help?
That’s no problem! We offer both one-time support and ongoing partnerships. Whether you need a one-off fix, a full system upgrade, or a recurring service plan, we’ll tailor it to you.
Do you offer discounts for multiple services or repeat clients?
We do offer bundled project pricing and occasional discounts for repeat clients or nonprofits. Ask during your Discovery Session and we’ll find the best fit for your needs.
What kind of clients do you work with?
We work with small-to-large businesses, senior-focused organizations, and individuals seeking modern, ethical IT support. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to modernize, we can help.
What happens if a project takes less time than expected?
The Discovery Session will set a price range based on the scope of work and expertise needed. You will be charged a minimum amount regardless of how much time it takes to complete the work. For example, if work was expected to take 1-2 hours, but it took 45 minutes, you will be billed for 1 hour. However, if the work took 3 hours and there was no change of scope, you will only be charged for 2 hours. (Any additional changes to work can result in rescoping with additional fees.)
Do you offer support for cloud services (like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace)?
Yes. We help businesses migrate to, secure, and manage their cloud platforms—including training if needed.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 12 hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations made with less than 12 hours notice will incur a 50% fee, and no-shows or cancellations within 1 hour of the scheduled time are subject to a 100% charge. We’re happy to work with you to find a new time—just reach out as soon as possible.
